ACTIVITES & Working Time
Volunteers are needed to help in the following activities:
- Day to day care of the animals

- Cutting up fruit, preparation of diets
- Feeding the animals
- General maintenance and cleaning
- Helping new arrivals adjust to the centre
- Fishing
- Construction work: repairing and building new enclosures
- Daily hikes to harvest fruits for the animals (yucca, corn, sugar cane, bananas or cocoa)
Just as well, we do some work that may be more physically demanding, such as construction and reinforcement of enclosures, building paths, harvesting fruit, etc.
Monday to Friday 8am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 5pm.
On Saturdays the volunteers work for a few hours in the morning to clean up the common areas, as well as feed the animals.
The rest of the weekend is yours to enjoy as you wish!
During the weekend volunteers can go to different towns such as Tena, Baños, or Puyo where many of the volunteers enjoy spending the weekends and where there is a variety of different things to do: rafting, canyoning, horse riding, visiting waterfalls or the volcano, or taking a bath in thermal waters.
